Why become a host family?
Hosting a young person from another country is a special experience for the whole family. You get to know the culture of another country and discover your own way of life in a completely new way! The intensive time allows you to make international contacts that you can always fall back on.
We are looking for host families!
Every year we are looking for host families who would like to host an IFYE in their household for around 3 weeks.

A little insight
IFYEs who only spend a few weeks with a host family want to take part in the family's "normal life". They are not interns or "cheap workers", but they can of course take on daily work in the house or on the farm. Not only agricultural businesses can take on an IFYE, but all families who live in rural areas and have a connection to it.
If you don't have a farm, is it still possible for your IFYE to go to work with you? Something like this is very interesting for the IFYE's in order to get a better picture of their professional activities. Both sides usually benefit from such experiences in everyday working life, because it is a great way to get to know each other better.
Of course, you are welcome to go on a few tours with your IFYE.

Of course, you don't have to travel to Berlin with your IFYE, the excursion destinations in the surrounding area, such as churches, castle's, old towns or nature, are often much more interesting and offer something for the whole family.
